What We Believe

The Bible

We believe the Bible (Old and New Testaments) is the God-breathed, inerrant, infallible, living, authoritative Word of God (Heb. 4:12). It is perfect in its original manuscripts and provides all that is needed to live godly lives in Christ Jesus (2 Tim. 3:16-17).

God

We believe in one God (Deut. 6:4; Isa. 45:5), eternally existing as three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 3:16-17; 2 Corinthians 13:14) while also being of one essence (John 10:30).

Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ, the second Person of the Trinity is in all aspects co-equal and co-eternal with the Father (John 10:30).  We believe that Jesus, as God the Son, was not created but has always existed (John 1:1-2).

Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit, the third Person of the Trinity is eternal and divine, like the Father and Son (Hebrews 9:14; Isaiah 40:13-14).  We believe the Holy Spirit distributes spiritual gifts as He wills (1 Corinthians 12:11) and are for the edification of the church (1 Corinthians 12:4-11).

Man

We believe man is created in the image of God (Genesis 1:26-27).  We believe all mankind are born in iniquity (Psalm 51:5; Romans 3:23; 5:12) and have incurred the guilt of sin as a result of the Fall in Genesis 3.

Salvation

We believe that salvation (justification) is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone apart from works (Ephesians 2:8-10).  We believe this justification is accompanied by repentance of sin (Luke 13:3; Acts 2:38; Acts 3:19).
